EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) is rolling out a new grant program aimed at cooling urban areas and improving local neighborhoods by planting more trees.

The savings will be applied to power bills from June through September 2025, "to provide immediate financial relief to customers during the hottest months of the year," IID said in a news release.
